Wolfgang Schweiger has obtained his phD degree in molecular biology at the University of Natural Resources and Life Science – BOKU (Vienna-Austria).Wolfgang arrived at CNRGV in October and he will stay in the laboratory until December.
The aim of his project is to characterise an important QTL responsible for Fusarium resistance in wheat. During his stay, he will construct and screen a non gridded BAC library from a wheat line harbouring this QTL of interest and establish a physical map of this genomic region.
