1964 to 1994: Biochemistry / Biophysics of DNA, molecular biology, cytogenetics / plant breeding, plant genomics (including mitochondria and chloroplasts).
1988 to 1994: Director of IBP (UMR CNRS 1128)
1995 to 1997: Genetics and Medical Genomics Genethon (neuro-muscular disease).
1997 to 2008: Assistant Director Génoscope. High throughput genomics; Human chromosome 14, Tetraodon fish, plants (Arabidopsis, rice, grapes, cocoa, Medicago, banana ...).
Awards: 1970 French League against Cancer, 2001 Kumho Award (sequencing of Arabidopsis).
Knight of the Order of Academic Palms.
