Quality Management System
Since its creation, the CNRGV develops a Quality Management System (QMS) to improve continuously its activities, to increase customers satisfaction and to achieve its goals of excellence.
The CNRGV QMS has been certified ISO 9001 since September 2005 by the SGS ICS certification organization.
Why ISO 9001 ?
- ISO 9001 is an international standard that gives requirements for an organization's Quality Management System ("QMS"). It is part of a family of standards published by the International Organisation for Standardisation ("ISO").
- The objective of ISO 9001 is to provide a set of requirements that will provide you with confidence that your supplier can consistently provide goods and services that meet your needs and expectations and comply with applicable regulations.
The Biological Ressources Centres, like CNRGV, are an essential part of the infrastructure of science and technology. All the molecular resources generated by the various plant genome project, are a starting point for functional annotation of genome. These molecular resources and informations, opened a new era for approaching molecular mechanism, the post-genomic biology.
To investigate this approach, the scientific community need infrastructure able to respect common standards for the quality of the key molecular biology tool, the clones, and by keeping experimental information associated with each clone. As CNRGV is a developer, producer and distributor of products and services for functional genome research, we decided to get involved in Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
