Would you like to explore the genetic diversity of loci of interest beyond coding sequences alone? Our TWIST targeted capture workflow enables the analysis of genes of interest and their flanking regions (up to ±5 kb) across large diversity panels, providing an in-depth view of the variability of coding sequences and their genomic context.
The method is based on the design of specific probes from a reference sequence. Using these probes, targeted DNA fragments are captured and subsequently sequenced, enabling the accurate reconstruction of the regions of interest for each genotype in the panel. We have conducted several pilot studies as part of research projects, demonstrating the robustness and efficiency of this approach.
As each capture project has specific objectives and constraints, it begins with a feasibility assessment. Our team works closely with you to evaluate the targeted genomic region, optimize probe design in collaboration with TWIST, and define the most appropriate experimental protocol. Once the probes have been designed, we carry out all laboratory steps through to sequence production. Finally, we perform the bioinformatic analysis of the data to assemble the genomic regions of interest.
