The CNRGV is now equipped with the MagnetaPure 32+ (Macherey Nagel), a mid-throughput nucleic acid extraction platform. This versatile platform can process 1 to 32 samples in parallel, fully automating every step — from reagent mixing and magnetic bead transfer to washing and elution.

Paired with the NucleoMag HMW DNA kit, the MagnetaPure 32+ enables rapid extraction of high molecular weight DNA in less than an hour. Our team has already validated the protocol on a wide range of plant species, including complex genomes. The extracted DNA meets the quality requirements for long-read sequencing technologies, such as ONT and PacBio.

Additionally, the MagnetaPure 32+ supports the automated purification of DNA samples using AMPure XP-type magnetic beads (Beckman Coulter), further enhancing our capabilities and throughput.
