Samplix Xdrop Sort : capture by PCR amplification and sorting in droplet

Samplix Xdrop-Sort

The Samplix Xdrop Sort technology offers a groundbreaking solution for targeted sequencing of large DNA fragments. Its key advantage lies in its ability to isolate and amplify specific DNA regions of interest without requiring prior knowledge of the complete genome sequence or extensive preparatory steps.

Using microfluidic droplet technology, Xdrop enables the enrichment of long DNA fragments—up to hundreds of kilobases—while preserving the structural integrity of the sequences. This makes it ideal for applications such as sequencing large genomic loci. Indeed, Xdrop excels in capturing low-abundance targets.

Ongoing tests demonstrate the ability of the Samplix Xdrop to efficiently capture ROIs, with an excellent ratio of targeted DNA to background. However, improvements are still needed in DNA amplification prior to sequencing to avoid the creation of chimeric DNA fragments. Various solutions are currently being evaluated.
