CNRGV, The French Plant Genomic Resource Center is both a service provider and repository of plant genomes and data.
Based in Toulouse, It's a unique service center for plant genomics in France.

New services:

Screening services

New DNA pools are now available for screening and distribution, including 4-Dimensional Sunflower pools.
We can also create new pools on demand (plate, 2D, or 3D pools).
All the resources that are currently available in CNRGV are summarized here :

*Sunflower 4D pools were not produced in CNRGV. For more information please refer to : Bouzidi MF, Franchel J, Tao Q, Stormo K, Mraz A, Nicolas P, Mouzeyar S. A sunflower BAC library suitable for PCR screening and physical mapping of targeted genomic regions. Theor Appl Genet 2006, 113:81-89.

BAC library construction

We produce genomic libraries on demand, from DNA extraction to colony picking. We propose different strategies according to the level of genomic data available. Various projects on model or crop plants have been already done or are under process.

Macroarrays production > New pattern

BAC clones of a library can be spotted using a 7*7 pattern. This density allows decreasing the number of filters to be hybridized in order to perform a screening.
With this pattern it is much more efficient to screen large BAC libraries : less time consuming and lradioactivity consuming.
You can spot 110 592 duplicated BAC clones (144 microplates in duplicate) on a single membrane.

A Giant Leaps for Wheat Genome

An international team led by INRA researchers from Clermont-Ferrand, Toulouse and Versailles has completed the first physical map of the largest bread wheat chromosome.

Successful renewal of our ISO 9001:2000 certification

The CNRGV has just renewed its ISO 9001:2000 certification by the SGS certifier organization. Its certification covers all its activities: Centralisation, validation and distribution of plant genomic resources, genomic tools and services for studying plant genomic collections.
