We acquired new equipment to standardize the grinding of frozen plant material, which is the first step for the extraction of high molecular weight DNA.

The grinder, Vibro broyeur MM 500 Vario from Retsch, can process six frozen samples simultaneously, in a homogeneous and reproducible ways. It makes it easy to obtain optimal plant material for DNA extraction.

Furthermore, this equipment will reduce the tediousness of the grinding operation, which was previously performed manually.
